John and Anne Haigh, residents of Milford on Sea, also own a holiday home in Normandy, just inland from the D-Day landing beaches.

After years of exploring the entire area there in France where it took place, and also here in central southern England where much of the preparations happened, John has compiled this Talk as a record of these experiences, and the momentous events that facilitated the freedoms we have enjoyed over our lifetime.
